Another Dog portrait finished, this one of a Rotweiller measures approx 4 x 3.5 inches, with each drawing I feel that I am getting nearer to where I want to be with my drawings, I just wish I could master how to draw a white haired dog on white paper, all my efforts so far have ended up in the bin.....

Fabulous dog portraits, and so small! I am impressed by such fine detail. Very clever.
Hi Sharon, thank you for your comments, I am suprised at how many people think of these dog drawings as small, I thought they were average to large, so that shows how much I know!
Hello Grahame, thanks for following my blog. Its a delight to visit yours and see your animal portraits. I shall be back!
Fabulous Gray...keep on drawing its obviously paying off, the detail is amazing...still haven't seen the ratter on island recently, but you keep drawing and i will keep looking. G x
Nice rottie too, not quite as expressive as the little JR, but this Rottie is so tiny! 4 x 3.5 isn't exactly large lol. Well done!
Have you thought of a larger format lately? ;)
Thank you Jeanette for dropping in on my blog and your comments.
Thank you Toni, size isn't important, or so Iv'e always been told! pleased you like the Rotti and the JR I was thinking of using CPs as well as graphite on these, maybe on the eyes but chickened out at the last minute.
That would be a nice touch on just the eyes, but you'll need to use a fixative on the graphite first. Graphite contaminates CP, it'll smear into it and make a yukky ugly mess. How's that for a technical term? lol...
Thanks Toni for that info I didn't know you needed to apply the fixitive, and also for the correct technical term, you learn something new every day...
