Doodles wip

I'm sorry for a lack of postings, but this is down to the fact the my computer has gone to the doctors to be repaired, so my son has allowed me 5 mins on his to post an update on Doodles, I hope to have this finished by Tuesday, mounted framed and delivered by Wednesday, and I hope most of all to have a happy client! as you can see I've started on the rider which was my biggest concern, as this is a gift for the riders Grandmother so it has to look like her..... oh well lots to do Christmas is coming...

'Human' portraits always take me much longer than the four legged subjects ... I usually vow 'never again' after each one ... but don't stick to my guns!

This is looking really good and, again, I just love the detail you achieve with your horses ... look forward to seeing horse and rider completed

Great job Grahame. I have been away so have so many blogs to catch up with.
I love watching your WIP's I agree with Sue on the Human portraits. I would rather do the four legged ones too. LOL.
I am sure you will do a wonderful job as always.

Thank you Sue, this is only my second portrait, nd her head is about the size of a postage stamp, so not much room to work on any detail, I always used to draw small but soon learnt that bigger is better..

So far so good Grahame. Your right about the size. Smaller is not always better and I sure know what it is like to do those tiny faces. The slightest mark can change the whole face. Look luck, it sounds like you have a killer deadline to make.
