This is an old Boxer dog I used to own who goes by the name of Biscuit, named because he is the same colour as a ginger biscuit, he is now around 9 years old and although going grey he is still full of life, I thought I would attempt to draw him in coloured pencils, and to be honest I have no idea how to use them so it's a case of just diving in and give them a go! I'm using Derwent Artist pencils on Stonehenge paper, I'll post more as I go along, all comments welcome

Hi Grahame, thanks for following my blog! Biscuit is a grand old gentleman, isn't he. Your work is beautiful, and for not knowing how to use colored pencils, I'd say you are doing a wonderful job! Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Looking great and I'm looking forward to seeing Biscuit's drawing progress!
I like your boxer and you are doing a great job with colored pencils. I have been messing with them lately too and am really enjoying the change of pace.
He is turning out great!! Can't wait to see him finished. I have to give you credit, I don't have the patience for colored pencil.
Thanks Jill twice!
Thanks Judy, dont know if i'll stick with the CP's unless I can use them on Bristol Board, I just dont like the way the CP paper fluffs up when your drawing.
