wip 7

As you can see I have been working on the BG to the right of the main Lion, and introducing the shadow, the Sun is high but to the left of the lion so not shining to much on his side more on the top of his back, do you think this shadow looks correct? I must have re-drawn it 10 times already I have even made a blue tac model and then shone a light on it to give me the idea of how it should look....

another awesome piece. I wish I could churn out drawings the way you do. you are so quick.

I am doing another commission. and guess what a Schnauzer... same client another drawing.

Not sure Grahame, but I would've thought the edge of the lion's back and the edge of the shadow it casts should be parallel, regardless of the sun's exact position. I like the sound of the blu-tac approach to remove any doubt!

Hi Peter, I read your thoughts and have altered the shadow, and it looks better, I've also removed some of the grass as it was pointed out that it was distracting the eye from the main characters. thanks for your input, it's great to be able to get other artists ideas and thoughts they can make all the difference.
