This is a new piece I'm working on, I cant say to much about it at the moment, which I will explain why later,so I'll let the WIP shots do all the talking, let me know what you think, finished size will be A4 approx 11 x 8 inches, paper is mellotex as always, time so far around 12 hours...

Looks very nice already. You are doing exceptional work on Mellotex. I have tried it once, and put it aside because of it's smoothness. It seemed hard to work on. Maybe I'll pull it out again and try one more time. Your work is wonderful!

Well its looking very beautiful (as always) Grahame but I think a while back there was mention of you drawing a French Bulldog in cps (is this it by any chance)? Can't tell if its graphite or not?

If its cps, I admire your bravery in choosing Mellotex as the support. I love the paper for graphite and I did one human portrait in cps on Mellotex which I quite liked - but it doesn't take layers easily so its a little like using cps on drafting film.

I guess all will be revealed soon? :o)

Thanks Christine, I know what you mean about the smoothness but its all Ive ever used after attending a Mike Sibley workshop, I'm always tempted to try something new, but I have a lot of this in stock, thank you for your kind comments...

Hi Sue, this is the one, the people who commissioned the drawing changed to pencil at the last moment. I have tried CPs on Mellotex it just doesn't work, not that I know much about how to use them, I could do with a CP workshop, let me know when your holding one, I'll be first on the list!!!
