This is beautiful Grahame, I love doing those "quicker/smaller" drawings , don't you? They are very satisfying to me. I think the change was perfect, added a lot of character & interest.
I agree, the extra stem and stalk detail adds that extra sparkle to the birds environment placement, I look forward to following your special talent grahame :) Jules

Lovely drawing Grahame .. I think that's a masterstroke extending the stem - definitely makes the picture more interesting.
