New Commission wip

This is my new work, its a double poodle portrait, commissioned by the same person who asked me to draw her daughters dogs as a Christmas present (also Poodles). these are her own dogs, and I hope to have them finished by the end of next week, the right eye looks pale, but this is down to light reflection on the photograph. As you can see I have included the photograph which I am working from,

Looking beautiful already Grahame ... all those curls :o)

This would be a good reference picture when you try out your pastels (much faster than graphite I think)

Thank you Dors, I have another poodle to go with this one, and then a labradoodle which I have been told is a cross between a poodle and a labrador, if I cant draw curly hair at the end of all that I never will....

Thanks Sue, my biggest worry is not understanding how to use colour, I have no idea how to put down a base colour and work onto that...
